About Our Mission

On July 5, 2011 Marjean and Roger received their mission call.  You all know how the wonderful letter from the Prophet starts out; "You are hereby called to serve as a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  You are assigned to labor in the Germany Frankfurt Mission.  Your primary assignment is to labor with the Center for Young Adults and assist with member and leader support.  It is anticipated that you will serve for a period of 18 months."

We report to the MTC on September 5th.

We are going back to Germany.

There are a number of Centers for Young Adults established around Europe.  These centers are to be a gathering place for the Young Adults of the Church and others interested.  Here they can learn and be trained to be the future leaders of the Church in Europe.  And have some fun.  You know we are about having fun.

The plan for these centers was from a revelation to Elder L. Tom Perry of the Quorum of Twelve Apostles in which he envisioned this program would be a means to retain the young adults age 18 to 30 as active members of the gospel and as a means to help them go on missions and be married in the temple and raise future generations in the Church.

We are excited to return to Germany where we lived for 3 years back in 1988.
